Salem State Presentation with Eco Writing Class
Northshore poet and professor, January O’neil, invited me to speak with her environmental writing class to share about my process working with natural materials. I took the opportunity to share about the map making project, inviting the students to participate in sharing their favorite botanical places in Salem. After they spent some time reflecting, writing, and drawing we transitioned to create a cyanotype using the plant material on site. It was a pleasure to come share about my work and learn about the places in nature that the students are drawn to most.
